Leaving Certificate
The Leaving Certificate examination is held at the end of the Senior Cycle in post-primary schools. The Senior Cycle caters for students in the 16 to 18 year old age group.
At St Andrew's College the students all study the following subjects at the Leaving Certificate level:
- Mathematics
- English
- Irish (unless an exemption is held)
- Modern Language (Spanish / French / German)
- PE
The students then choose to study three/four additional subjects from the following list:
- Accounting
- Agricultural Science
- Applied Maths
- Art
- Biology
- Business
- Chemistry
- Classical Studies
- Design and Communication Technology
- Economics
- Geography
- History
- Home Economics
- Music
- Physics
- Politics and Society
- Religious Education
