SAC Secondary School Sailing Club

SAC Secondary School Sailing Programs  & Powerboat License Courses

SAC Sailing Programs are organised by MJ Geraghty, Sailing Coordinator of SAC Secondary School.  The Secondary School Sailing Programs are run out of the RSGYC, Dunlaoighaire.  Students from 1st to 6th year are eligible to take part in the programs.  There are two main programs run through the academic year along with an option of summer sailing, RSGYC membership, summer employment and Powerboat Licence Certificates. 

SAILING/PB PROGRAMMES

  • Sailing / Watersports Summer Camps (RSGYC - open to all SAC students - access via QR Code)

  • First Year, 2 week clinic, offered solely to SAC new 1st years . Suitable for beginner and more experienced students who are interested in trying sailing.  Run out of RSGYC.  Course 1 : August 6th - 9th / Course 2 : August 12th - 16th Link to register
  • Summer Team Racing Training - SAC sailors can continue with schools TR Training, over the summer.   Sailors need to have sailing experience and own sailing gear, including buoyancy aid and wet weather gear/wetsuit. Click here to register
  • Team Racing Training - SAC sailors continue with schools TR Training, Wednesdays 2 - 5pm. August to May.   Sailors need to have sailing experience and own sailing gear, including buoyancy aid and wet weather gear/wetsuit.  Sailors are provided with a Sailing Team Jersey after Term 1 where commitment is shown to the program.  Click here to register :  
  • Keelboat Program - no experience required.  Commences Term 1 -  28th August for 6 sessions.  Limited places available - Click here to register
  •  SAC Powerboat Licence Course 22nd and 23rd June – Now Full.
