St Andrew's wins Minor Boys Division II Final
Well done to the Minor Boys Tennis Team who beat St Fintan's College 3-2 in the Minor Boys Division II Final on 23 May in Castleknock Tennis Club (for photographs please click here). Patrick Guest secured the crucial point winning the Number 1 singles match 7-5, 7-6, saving set points in both sets. Congratulations to Adam Horsfield, Max Guilfoyle, William Dawson-Howe, Patrick Guest, Akshat Suri, Theo Kohlmann and the captain Sam Walker on a great victory. It was the school's third success in this division in the last 10 years, last winning the title in 2011 on the day Barack Obama visited Ireland.
Also, good luck this week to our Junior B Tennis Team who are in the final of Division III on Wednesday 25 May in Landsdowne Tennis Club at 1pm. They beat High School 3-2 in the semi-final with the two deciding matches going to third set tie-breaks. Thankfully, St Andrew's prevailed in both matches.
Our Senior Team takes on Blackrock College in the Plate Final on Thursday 26 May at 1pm in St Mary's Tennis Club. This is our first shot at silverware in Senior Division I and we wish both sides the very best of luck.
