Success at the International Competition for Young Debaters, Cambridge.
The International Competition for Young Debaters, a global British Parliamentary debating competition took place on Sunday, 28 April. Second Year students, Hanna Berhanu and Finn O'Donaill travelled as one of six teams representing Ireland after qualifying earlier in the year at the National Junior Mace Debating Competition in UCD.
It is a huge achievement to qualify for this competition but Finn and Hanna managed to place an incredible joint 8th overall With over 2000 teams from all over the world entered, to finish in the top 10 is truly remarkable We are so very proud of you both.

Motion: THBT animal rights groups should prioritise their campaigns on farmed animals being treated well and killed without excessive pain and suffering, rather than discouraging the use of animal-based products
