K2 are busy in their classroom!
K2 have had an enthusiastic, energetic and positive start to the new school year! They have got to know their new classroom and welcomed some new friends to the St Andrew’s school community.
In Maths, K2 have been revising numbers 1-5 and sorting objects by colour, size and pattern throughout the week. Come see our ‘crazy socks’ which have been put into pairs. In English, we have been revising some of our phonic sounds from K1. We have sounded them, traced them and made them out of playdough. We also wrote about our weekend news and made a class newspaper.
The children have been engaged and involved in lots of other activities such as playing Irish vocabulary games, learning new songs and rhythms, play stations and creating butterfly sketches with Mr Cousins.
It’s been a busy and fun filled start to the year. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings!
