Young Philosopher Awards
P5OH have worked tirelessly in groups and individually with their teacher and parents over the past two weeks on a project run by UCD: ‘The Young Irish Philosopher Awards’.
The class split into three groups. One group put together a short story comic book about how Covid-19 has impacted the environment, another wrote a letter to Dr McCarroll (Zoe’s aunt) and in it the students identify what it means to be a ‘Hero’ during present times and the final group are recording a podcast discussing ‘how does Covid-19 make us value Humanity differently?’
Sophie Gallagher is working on her own exciting ethical question independently.
All of the class have discussed countless thoughts and ideas, looking at both sides of the coin. It has been a highlight of our home learning.
