Rebecca Coll (Class of 2003)
Wins Science award in Australia
Congratulations to Rebecca Coll (Class of 2003) who, at a ceremony in Sydney last November, was awarded for her work in identifying promising anti-inflammatory compounds that block the NLRP3 inflammasome (or protein), a key driver of inflammation.
Rebecca's work has been described as 'ground-breaking'.
After leaving St Andrew's Rebecca studied science in Trinity and ended up collaborating with researchers from the University of Queensland. She now lives in Brisbane and says "it's my home for now but I always miss Ireland................".
